During my flight from California to New York on Sunday, the pilot announced  he had to wait for feedback from the dispatcher before he would be able to tell us where we going to  land. The plane had already been delayed at the airport! We were now more than an hour behind scheduled take-off because the plane wasn’t operating and mechanics attempted and finally made the necessary repairs.—>

The next announcement was about scores for various sports events. He gave a score for ‘the open’. I assumed he was talking about the U.S. Open golfing event.  Later he  announced Tiger Woods’ score (he said he didn’t know the other guys name or score and would get back to us on that). Lastly, he said there would be a playoff on Monday.

Monday,  to my delight, I was surfing the ‘tele’ and Tiger Woods was playing against Mediate. I am not a golfing fan, yet, I was mesmerized by the intensity, concentration, mental toughness, and focus of Tiger Woods. I was watching someone in the flow and not consciously aware of surroundings. In addition, I was keenly aware of the pain he displayed in his facial expression. I didn’t know he had knee surgery  in April.  After winning the U. S. Open Tiger told the sports announcer that during the game he couldn’t let the fans down, although he was in pain. In essence, he was glad the game was over and was going to take time off from the game.

The take away lesson for me is, we are fundamentally responsible for our own health. Wellness is a choice. The choice is ours to make. He gave his full attention to what he wanted during the game and in so doing positive results were produced. He appeared to be consciously aware of the Laws of the Universe and guided his thoughts and actions to manifest his desire to win. after the game, his awareness was focused on his health and well-being. All things taken into consideration, I understand when the sports world said this was his greatest game!

Have you been in the flow? Do you take full responsibility for your wellness? Wellness coaching is a plus during life transitions. Post your comments and subscribe to this blog for new posts.

Note: The curfew was extended and we landed at LaGuardia Airport.
